Description:
The non-rusting neck flange DN 100 PN 40 Type 11 with connecting projection type B according to EN 1092-1 is designed to ensure a smooth transition from the flange to the non-rusting pipe or fitting in case of multiple bends.
The non-rusting neck flange with a connecting projection (Type B) is a type of pipeline fitting, which is a disc-shaped element with symmetrical holes for fastening. The axially symmetrical conical projection -- the neck (collar, bell) -- is required for a strong welding of the flange to the pipe or fitting. The bell is subjected to the same temperature and pressure loads as the flange itself.
The international standard EN 1092-1 sets the requirements for round steel flanges with pressures from PN 2.5 to PN 400 and diameters from DN 10 to DN 4000. This European standard defines the types of flanges and their cladding, dimensions, tolerances, screw thread cutting, bolt sizes, surface treatment of the flange joint, marking, materials, nominal pressure/temperature values and approximate weight of the flange.
Methods for manufacturing neck flanges from non-rusting stainless steel Type 11 EN 1092:
- From seamless metal stock using press forming or forging.
- Made from round metal stock or forged sectional steel.
- Manufacture from bent and electrically welded sectional rods, sectional steel or plates - for DN greater than or equal to 700.
The following surfaces are machined in the obtained blank: external diameter, central hole, holes for bolts/fasteners, spotfaced.
The surface treatment for the connecting surfaces is carried out by mechanical processing on lathes.
Flanges must be suitable for use with the number and size of bolt connections specified in the standard. The bolt connections must be selected by the equipment manufacturer according to the pressure, temperature, flange material, gasket, so that the flanged joint remains tight in expected operating conditions. Flange marking EN 1092-1:
Marking must be visible and durable. Where hard stamps are used, the marking should be placed on the external edge of the parts. Ensure that the hard stamped marking does not cause cracks in the flange material. The following marking is applied:
- Flange manufacturer's name;
- Standard EN 1092-1;
- Flange type - 11;
- DN - nominal diameter;
- Pressure rating PN;
- Wall thickness (size S), if it is not consistent with this European Standard;
- Material name or number or grade, e.g. 1.4307;
- Bath/melt number.
